01Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal information Sequence collects through this website, why, and what your rights are. Sequence is committed to handling personal data lawfully, fairly and transparently, consistent with the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 and equivalent UK/EU data-protection principles.
Who is responsible for your data
Sequence is the trading name of Sequence Advisory Limited (in formation). Until the company is incorporated, the data controller for this website is Paul Soares, Jersey, Channel Islands; the company will be the data controller once incorporated. Contact: hello@sequenceadvisory.com.
What we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us:
- Diagnostic submissions — if you complete a diagnostic and request a report or a conversation, we collect the name, firm and email you enter, together with the answers/score you generated.
- Anonymous benchmark data (optional, opt-in) — if, and only if, you tick the box to contribute, we retain your diagnostic answers and score alone — the numeric ratings, the diagnostic type, and the date — to build an aggregate benchmark that lets future firms compare against a real population. This contribution carries no name, no firm, no email and nothing else identifying; it cannot be traced back to you or your firm. It is never sold, and is used only to produce anonymised, aggregate statistics. You can use every part of this site, including requesting a report, without contributing.
- Direct contact — if you email us, we hold the contents of that correspondence.
We do not use advertising, behavioural tracking, or analytics that profile you, and we do not buy or sell personal data.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your information solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare any report you request, and communicate with you about it. Our lawful basis is your consent (which you give by submitting the form) and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
Who processes it (our providers)
To run this website and receive enquiries we use a small number of reputable service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Netlify — website hosting and secure form submissions.
- Cloudflare — domain, DNS and email routing.
- Apple iCloud — the mailbox our email is delivered to.
Each maintains its own security and data-protection measures. Data may be processed outside Jersey (for example in the UK, EU or US) under these providers' standard safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting engagement, and no longer than reasonably necessary. You may ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@sequenceadvisory.com. You also have the right to complain to the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner (JOIC).
02Cookie notice
This website is deliberately light on cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party analytics that profile visitors.
What is (and isn't) set
- No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
- The interactive diagnostics may use your browser's local storage on your own device to remember your answers during a session and to generate a reference number. This never leaves your device and is not shared.
- Our hosting and security providers (Netlify, Cloudflare) may set essential technical cookies required to deliver the site securely and prevent abuse. These are strictly necessary for the site to function.
Because we set no non-essential tracking cookies, there is nothing to opt out of beyond the strictly necessary technical cookies your browser needs to load the site. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.
