Sequence · Regulated operating-model advisory

I help regulated firms out-govern the specialists they depend on.

Every firm commissions work it cannot personally grade — a custody migration, a CRM replacement, an outsourced service, an AI deployment. You stay accountable for the outcome while a supplier owns the craft. My work is the method that forces those decisions onto evidence rather than taste, before a single colour is chosen.

How to work with me

A ladder, not a menu. Each step is useful on its own and qualifies you for the next — from a free self-assessment to embedded advisory.

The Field GuideFREE
£0
The twelve operating-model instruments, distilled from the full body of work into one practitioner handbook. Yours to keep, use and circulate.
Best when: you want the method in your hands and want to see how I think before we talk.
Readiness DiagnosticFREE
£0
Score your firm across all twelve instruments in ~8 minutes and get an instant profile showing exactly which you're missing.
Best when: you suspect gaps but want them named and ranked objectively.
Interpreted Report
£750 fixed, one-off
Your diagnostic answers, read by a senior operator through The Sequence Method™ and — after a short call to understand your firm’s context — returned as a written analysis tailored to your situation: the gaps that carry the most risk, prioritised, each mapped to the instrument that closes it. The £750 includes the call.
Best when: you want a firm-specific plan, not a generic score — and a low-risk way to see how I work. The by-function report is scoped from £750 by firm size and the number of functions.
Board / Leadership Workshop
from £2,500 half-day
A facilitated session that runs your leadership team through the method on a live decision you're facing — a migration, a platform choice, an AI deployment — and leaves you with the instruments in use.
Best when: the decision is imminent and the whole team needs to own the approach.
Deep-Dive Advisory
from £5,400 about 4 days, fixed
One high-stakes decision — a migration, a vendor, an AI rollout — governed end to end, from evidence to go/no-go, as a scoped and fixed piece of work.
Best when: a single decision carries most of the risk and needs a defined, time-boxed answer.
Project Advisory
£1,350 per day, scoped in writing
I govern a specific specialist engagement end to end — bringing the instruments to the brief, the supplier selection, the review gate and the go-live — so the outcome is evidenced, not hoped for.
Best when: you have one high-stakes piece of work and no in-house method to govern it.
Embedded Retainer
from £4,900 per month, defined term
One day a week (four days a month), with further days at the day rate, over a defined term, installing the operating-model instruments across the firm and governing the decisions as they arise. Outcome-defined, not open-ended.
Best when: transformation is continuous and you need the method embedded, not visiting.

What I bring that a firm rarely has in-house

  • A repeatable method for governing work you can't personally out-expert
  • Deep regulated-jurisdiction fluency (JFSC, Jersey AI Playbook)
  • Operating rigour — process, data, migration, MI, sequencing
  • Current AI-governance grounding applied to real operating decisions
  • An outside, evidence-first view no incumbent supplier will give you

The problems this is built for

  • A migration scoped as a file transfer that's really an audit
  • A vendor you have the right — but not the tested ability — to leave
  • MI that reports the past instead of steering the next decision
  • An AI tool that entered through a calendar invite, not procurement
  • A transformation of individually-sound projects in an impossible order

How the rates are set

Benchmarked against published 2026 UK data for interim and fractional senior operators, then positioned for regulated financial services. Published Jersey-specific day-rate data is limited, so UK benchmarks are used.

The positioning in one line: a firm that cannot out-expert its suppliers can still out-govern them. Against a Big Four engagement I am compelling value; against a generalist I am unmistakably a specialist. The rate reflects scarce, regulated, evidenced experience — priced to be an easy yes for a serious firm and a clear signal of the level I work at. Rates exclude Jersey GST where applicable and are confirmed per engagement against scope.
Proof: the method has been applied to real regulated-firm engagements, described in anonymised form across a 35-article published body of work — most fully in the Series Three case study. · This guide is for general information and initial discussion. It is not a binding quotation; fees are confirmed in writing per engagement. Nothing here constitutes legal, regulatory, investment or professional advice, and no advisory relationship is created until separately agreed. · Sequence · hello@sequenceadvisory.com
